After explaining the key points of making delicious Matcha, you will make the tea yourself with a tea whisk.First-time participants and those uncomfortable sitting on the floor are welcome to join the class.

Mindfulness Table Tea Ceremony for Beginners (Simple Temae)" allows you to casually practice mindfulness while cherishing the spirit of the tea ceremony and incorporating it into your modern life.
This tabletop class lets you easily learn how to enjoy and serve powdered green tea. All you need to prepare for your lesson is matcha and a chasen (tea whisk). Everything else can be substituted with what you have in your kitchen, so you can easily get started. Anyone can join the class without any preparation, including first-timers and those uncomfortable sitting on the floor.
Seasonal Japanese sweets and delicious matcha tea will be waiting for you.

You will learn how to handle utensils, seasonal sweets, and manners while mastering the Bon-ryori style of tea ceremony using a fukusa. You will also learn about matcha tea, the history of the tea ceremony, and its utensils.
The class will be held at a table, so even those who are not comfortable sitting on the floor can enjoy the class.
Seasonal Japanese sweets and delicious matcha tea will be served.

Cancellations made 2 days before the course date will be subject to a full cancellation fee.

FAQ

  • I am shy and not a good cook...
    Cooking will naturally help you to make the conversation more lively. Please be assured that our cooking instructor also supports conversation and strives to create an enjoyable atmosphere. We prepare dishes with event-like elements so that even those who are not good at cooking can enjoy them. For Japanese cuisine, we make "makizushi" (sushi rolls), and for Western cuisine, we make "pizza" as a collaborative effort. Recipes will be changed to provide a variety of dishes to enjoy. The event is scheduled to last approximately 2.5 hours. We have a relaxed schedule so that everyone can enjoy the event as long as possible.
  • What happens if the number of participants is not reached and the cooking party does not occur? Will the participation fee be refunded?
    We are very sorry, but we have a minimum number of participants for a cooking party, and if that number is not reached, the party will not be held. If the event is not expected to be held, we will contact you and may cancel the event. The participation fee paid will be fully refunded.
  • How can I cancel my reservation?
    If you need to cancel for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. Cancellation fees are as follows: From 7 days before the event date, 100% of the registration fee will be charged.
  • I would like to obtain my certification in the shortest possible time. Can I take the beginner, intermediate, and instructor courses simultaneously?
    If you wish to obtain the certification in a short period of time, it is possible to take a combination of beginner, intermediate, and instructor courses at the same time.
  • Can I take the trial class only once?
    You can take the trial class as often as you like, but the content will be the same. You can participate multiple times to experience the charm of the tea ceremony further. Please feel free to participate.
  • What can I do as an instructor?
    Once you become an instructor, you can teach tea ceremony lessons, lead your own classes, or set up your own events. We also offer a support course for starting your own business. There are also opportunities for you to be sent by Aime-toi as an instructor.
  • Is it possible to have lessons on the road?
    Yes, lessons are available at the venue you specify. However, please note that there is an additional cost for travel and transportation.
  • I have hardly ever cooked before, can I follow the lessons?
    Aime-toi is a cooking school specializing in beginner education so that you can join confidently. We provide careful instruction so that even those who have never touched cooking can enjoy learning while having fun. We will proceed at your pace, so please don't worry. Let's enjoy cooking together!
  • Is it okay if there are foods I cannot eat?
    Please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. We also offer a vegetarian menu.
